"Children are a kind of indicator species.
If we can build a successful city for children, we will have a successful city for all people."
Enrique PeƱalosa
How do you get children and young people to think about the cities of the future? To develop visions? To strengthen their capacities for action?
The aim of the Erasmus+ project "TUDEC - Through Upcycling to the Design of Ecocities" (Cities for the Future) is to bring the goals of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) into the consciousness of children aged 6-14. By providing background knowledge, lesson activities and educational videos the project partners provide teachers with tools on how to involve their students in sustainable city-making. |
