In each modules, teachers get an overview of different aspects of sustainable cities that are relevant to students aged 6-14.
This reaches from dealing with natural resources effectively, fostering biodiversity in cities, allowing co-habitation with other species,
and designing inclusive spaces and infrastructure to strengthen the bond between people and nature. Each module not only contains direct
links to school curricula but is also linked to concrete activity suggestions from the manual.
The manual will be a set of ready-to-use training materials giving instructions on interactive, experiential and
learner-centred activities that will help teachers to work on the topic of sustainable cities with their students (aged 6-14).
The activities are sorted according to the topics of the modules of the curriculum and will provide adaptations suited to different age groups,
but also different learning conditions and sets of abilities. The training material will help teachers to implement creative and innovative methods
to activate students' participation in sustainable city-making starting in their own school and community.
The partnership will provide animated videos related to the topics of the curriculum and manual. In those videos,
different aspects of sustainable cities will be conveyed in a simple, visually appealing and entertaining way, encouraging students
to sustainably transform their direct environment.
The videos will be available on this website in 2024.
